Simply endless capacity, prudence and balance are combined beautifully in this four-year-old young hope, Tess D’Urberville. This is a mare we are happy to vouch for – to state without doubt that she truly possesses everything a modern jumping horse requires. This daughter of Risohorse Locorotondo is a genuine rough diamond. Even now, just gently broken in, we are convinced of her flawless interior as well as her rideability. At the jump, she is equipped with capability, quick reflexes and the right attitude, meaning this mare should be of great interest to riders with the highest expectations. Her sire Risohorse Locorotondo racked up multiple successes in 140cm jumping tests under Björn Nagel, and hails from the Westphalian line 466. His dam also produced Dona (150cm), Emilia (150cm), Carlotta (130cm) and Nicolina (150cm). His sire, Lord Lancer, was himself successful in 160cm jumping. Tess D’Urberville’s dam is Lord Z’s daughter Elfriede. She hails from S-Leila, a Lux Z daughter who was successful over 135cm with Pascal Brunner. In the third generation we find Bavaria Cartouche. This Cantus daughter has proven herself time after time in both breeding and sport (140cm). She has been successfully paired with Lord Z on multiple occasions. This match has delivered Liberty’s Girl (140cm), who enjoyed success with Björn Nagel, Leonie (160cm), Liberty (140cm) and Lambuca (130cm). Also amongst their offspring are Lutetia (130cm) and Camporada (140cm). The performance capacity of these genes could not have been more consistently and impressively proven. The direct dam line also boasts Jermaine (145cm), Victoria (145cm) and Mojo (150cm). Tess D’Urberville – genes for an international career.
