Quito is a charming colt of a modern type and comes from a mare line that for several generations has produced top horses. The mother Fabula Kilen is a gold medal mare and was awarded the title “Best jumping bred mare of the year” at the Elite Mare Show in 2006.
Fabula Kilen is the dam of Jambalaya Kilen by Jaguar Mail, who received a bronze medal in 2020 for her strong results and has competed up to 150 cm with Gitte Dahl. In 2014 Fabula also made her mark in dressage with the offspring Fashienne Kilen by First Choice DVH 1151. Fashienne is today an A horse in dressage and has competed up to Grand Prix with her rider Mette Rasmussen.
It is a mare family that, through several generations, has produced horses with capacity, rideability and remarkable versatility across disciplines.
The father Quel Homme de Hus by Quidam de Revel is one of the most consistent and successful showjumping stallions of his generation, combining exceptional scope, carefulness and a remarkable competitive mindset. He has competed at 170cm level and his results includes team gold at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam, team bronze at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, an individual silver at the 2022 World Championships in Herning, winner of the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona and achieved top placings at iconic venues such as Aachen and Geneva, confirming Quel Homme de Hus as one of the most reliable 5* horses on the international circuit.
