Art Print "Halla"

The first item is the numbered art print no. 451, "Head of Halla", by Prof. Ernst Kühlbrandt, published by Kunstverlag A. Wolpers & Co., Bad Salzuflen. The work depicts the legendary mare who wrote equestrian history together with Hans Günter Winkler. Halla and HGW became one of the most famous horse-and-rider partnerships of all time and to this day stand for trust, courage and outstanding sporting achievement.

100 Years of Hans Günter Winkler: Auction of Special Memorabilia in Aid of the Stiftung Deutscher Pferdesport

To mark the 100th birthday of Hans Günter Winkler, two exceptional items of memorabilia associated with the German show jumping legend will be auctioned during the Al Shira'aa Bundeschampionate 2026.

A historic art print of the legendary wonder mare Halla and an honorary trophy from Hans Günter Winkler's personal silver collection are intended not only to commemorate one of the greatest riders of all time, but also to do good at the same time: with their bid, buyers acquire not just a piece of German sporting and equestrian history. They also support the work of the Stiftung Deutscher Pferdesport. The proceeds will benefit the development of young talent in equestrian sport as well as the "Schulpferde 100 Plus" project, helping to accompany young riders on their way in equestrian sport.

Hans Günter Winkler would have turned 100 at the end of July 2026. Hardly any name is as closely linked to the greatest successes of German show jumping as that of the five-time Olympic champion, world champion and European champion. To this day, HGW is regarded as one of the defining figures of international equestrian sport. His successes, his dedication to the sport and his tireless commitment to young riders continue to have an impact far beyond his active career.
