The Hanoverian Francis Ford makes a lasting impression with his imposing appearance. The seven-year-old stallion is consistently uncomplicated in daily work, at competitions and in general handling, showing no stallion-like airs; instead, his good character deserves particular mention. He remains in the ownership of his breeder and was entrusted to his regular trainer, Maxi-Kira von Platen, as a four-year-old for breaking and further development. Despite being started relatively late and introduced to competition in a measured way, his record is convincing. In 2026 he has already won an advanced young-horse dressage class with more than 76 percent. He also qualified for the Bundeschampionat as both a five- and six-year-old. Francis Ford’s harmonious way of going is particularly noteworthy. Even with his size, he remains diligent in daily work, shows good freedom through the shoulder and appears to grow in the collected movements.
