With plenty of knee action and a glossy black coat, Branchetto brings interesting attributes to the Verdener High Level Auction. At nine years of age, the Hanoverian gelding has made relatively few competition starts, but this is not due to a lack of work ethic or a fragile temperament. Rather, his limited appearances reflect the workload at the Giesselmann yard for his rider, Jan-Dirk Giesselmann. Branchetto is trained to advanced level and performs series changes as well as the beginnings of pirouettes. His trot and canter quality are particularly memorable, thanks to his pleasant and clearly articulated foreleg mechanics. Branchetto’s size and frame make him suitable for riders of many different types.
